I would put it down at pretty low temps. I mean most of us have been hit with a rain storm after thinking it was over. As long as ya can go 80, your straight.

last night i had the top down and the temp was like 35-40. just wear a beanie and couple layers of clothing and you'll be fine. btw this helps build up my immune system. i can't stand people who turn on the heat to MAX when they get in their cars. they later walk back outside in the extreme cold and thats how they get sick.

I drove 80 miles in ~ 25F with the top down, at night in wind to boot.

Generally, though, if it's sunny and the temperature is in the upper 30s or higher, the top will be down.

The biggest problem I have is with attention. I don't take the top down to impress anyone or show off. I don't care. I'd just as soon be the only person on the road (in fact some days that would be nice!). But, everyone seems to assume that if you're driving with the top down on a cold but sunny day, you're trying to show off or something. So there are a lot of sneers, laughs, honks, and unintelligable yelling from passing cars. It really spoils the experience.
