TOTALLY! i just saw the pic, and was gonna say wat lvs2k did
I think the manual suggests that we avoid top operation at freezing temperatures. I'm usually fine into the 40's but if my girlfriend is in the car and insists on wearing fur ear muffs the top goes up

My top up threshold is more along the lines of:
- Wife in car: top up (messes up her hair)
- Raining: top up
- ANY other situation: top down!
The heater is REALLY efficient, and I think the aero screen helps with this too.
Top operation is also so quick, you can do it at a stop sign without annoying others too much. Handy when it stops raining...

SilverSurfer,
good eye! The boot was on - no threat of rain or snow that day. We drove up the North Cascades Highway, from sea level to about 5500 feet at the summit of Washington pass. The last few miles had snow on either side of the road, and the trees were nicely flocked, but there was no snow or ice on the road. Probably around 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
We were wearing long underwear, polar fleece, leather jackets, hats gloves, and my wife had her earmuffs on. And of course the windows and aeroscreen were up, and the heater was on.
