Default Top got slashed - talk to me about replacements

The title says it all.
The weather has been a bit foul lately and the top needs to get replaced sooner rather than later. Insurance covered an OEM top so I'm figuring if I go aftermarket and save a few bucks I can essentially absorb my deductible. The only brand I've heard of is Robbins. Do they make a decent product? Should I go with them or is there a better alternative out there?

Don't have an answer for you, but what happened? Break-in?

It's a toss up between theft and vandalism. It happened at my local mall, I have an alarm that went off and there weren't any shiny objects in plain sight that might tempt a thief. Ultimately, nothing was taken. It might have been a little dicey if they got in since my gun was in the car (although locked and stashed in the secret hideaway spot) .

Stories like this make me not even drive my car to the mall. Sucks to hear that man, hopefully it gets repaired soon. I'd stick with the OEM top.

Make sure insurance covers installation costs as well. Definitely get an OEM 2002 onwards glass variant.

Look towards 8 to 10 hours for the whole replacement job by a competent mechanic.

Here's a thread about installing a Robbins top:

Seems to be a good replacement/alternative to OEM, at a good price.
