Default Top and Passenger Window Not Working

Hi all, hate to be the guy to join and immediately post a problem thread, but I’m at a loss for my loss of passenger PW and top.

We’ve checked and replaced the applicable fuses and tested power to the passenger window motor, which is receiving it.

No noises when trying to lower the top or the window. I can’t find any info on this so it must not be a common problem.

Next step: window regulator? Another thought, is there a part of this car where water gets in and potentially shorts something out?

thank you!

So convertible top and both windows don't work? It is possible that wiring got reversed or something like that?

Driver window is fine. Passenger window doesn’t work from either the driver switch or the passenger. The top/window were working fine up until a couple months ago.

Unfortunately the top & the passenger window are controlled by

Honda S2000 convertible roof control unit ECU Module Relay 86500-S2A-003 99-09.

I say unfortunately as this unit is no longer supplied by Honda. You will have to start looking around the seconf hand parts market I'm afraid.

On my '06 the passenger window lock switch on the drivers door (photo in post #4) only controls the passenger window and has no effect on the roof. Lowering -- or raising -- the roof lowers both the driver's and passenger window regardless of the position that switch. I was curious enough to physically confirm this minutes ago. Roof won't budge unless the parking brake is set but it has no effect on the windows. I suspect this switch is a sedan safety leftover to prevent children in the back seat from playing with the window.

I lock the window switches on my other cars when my Dachshunds are in the car as they like look out the windows and when they stand on the switch they lower the window. Especially amusing at a drive thru window or toll plaza. Not been a problem in the Honda.

No stupid questions, pass window wouldn't go down regardless, but the parking brake was up when testing the top.

Good find! I will try and test the current one in the car this weekend.

Thanks for the responses, all.
