Ive only been able to hit 152 indicated on the speedo and it felt like it was going to take forever to go past that speed. Ive hit 145 with the top down. I bet the bolt ons do help to accelerate a little bit faster to get to those speeds quicker but it would be hard to keep giong past the 150 mark i think.......well in my car it felt like it.

what are your guys' opinions on the gearing on the AP2 with the 8000 revlimit and the gearing on the AP1 with the 9000 revlimit? it seems to me (noobie, please bear with me) that the gearing for the F22C is too short for its lower revlimit and the gearing on the F20C is too long with its higher revlimit. Yet based on what ive seen on this board, the cars are similar in performance (yeah, even though there is the increased torque ratings in the F22C). just what everyone's opinion. Seems as if Honda could have switched the gearing between the AP1's and AP2's.

ap1. redlining in 6th gear.. = 167mph... give and take a few mph depending on conditions.....
ap2. redlining in 6th gear.. = 151mph... give and take a few mph depending on conditions.....

both cars drag limited to around 155mph... but this will vary a lot depending on many different factors....(wind, temp, downhill/uphill, yada yada yada)

and this will be with stock gearing.......

ap1 with 4.44gears = 155mph
ap1 with 4.57gears = 150mph
ap1 with 4.77gears = 144mph

ap2 with 4.44gears = 140mph
ap2 with 4.57gears = 136mph
ap2 with 4.77gears = 130mph

these are all estimates...... and with stock wheel/tire combo...

lol how is the ap2 drag limited to 155 if it's mechanically limited to 151. lol.

has anyone topped out their ap2 yet to see what the indicated speed is? on the ap1 it's 174mph indicated. probably closer to 168 actual. (again, you'd have to have more power or going down a slight hill, etc, in order to actually get the speed up that high)

Thanks for all the replies. I was curious what everyone has experienced. Iv'e had mine to 130 + top up 125 top down and my ap2 was still pulling strong in both instances. The guy who says 151 is top doesn't have good facts. Hell Car And Driver and Road and Track both state the 2003 ap1 will go 160+ and I'll bet the ap2 will go 160.

you gotta give an take a couple mph here and there... depending on conditions.. i'm sure if you were in an ap2 going downhill you could hit 155 and be limited by drag... .... you ass...
