153MPH top down 3am...best feeling ever...prolly wont do it again though was scary.


Average latley is about 125-135mph

 

So - on what kind of roads are you folks doing these speeds? Top for me was 137 just south of Point Sur Light, California Highway 1, a two-lane straight but up-and-down grade B asphalt stretch a few miles north of Big Sur. Car definitely needed more downforce, tho more worried about CHP than losing it.

 

137 is too fast for me on public roads. Around here, even on our most isolated roads, the hazard from deer, and the cost of getting caught (over 100 MPH and they can impound your car and take you to jail) is too high. I do most of my testing and tuning on a couple of private roads that are gated at both ends, and that's also where I've done top speed pulls.

LOL, I'm not actually saying that I've never driven at 137 or more on a public road; I'm just saying that in this area it's really too fast, at least for me. The risks outweight the rewards.

 

147 next to another S2K on a bridge over a lake. So strange how the stearing begins to gain the feeling that your floating. Dunno if I will ever go that fast again.

150mph 200rpm short of redline. on the I15 at 1am. top up...
pretty scary.. prolly wont do it again.. there are so many things running in my mind...
animal crossing, CHP, too risky. just wanted to see it's limits at least once...

and contrary to Enthralled's *ahem* SC'ed *ahem* mine took a while to get to 150mph.. damn supercharged S!!!!
