Some Jerk put a cigarette out on the cloth strip below the Rear Window!!

The dealership wants $227 dollars to replace the entire rear window/cloth etc. They do not come separately!! Did anybody pay less for this piece??? Thanx in advance..

I would think insurance would cover it, unless you have a deductible that's more than $227.

Yeah, but don't forget the subsequent increase in insurance premium because you made a claim.

actually, its a comprehensive claim here in the US, thus it would NOT affect your rates. Unfortunately, many people carry a $500 comp deductible.
Sorry to hear about the vandalism though. Some sensless & jealous peoples out there.

I had my top cut. The rear window and the top was something like 850 without installation. The whole job was around 1400. From the manual, to replace the window you have to remove the top so there is a lot of work involved. Just call another dealer and he can quote you a price on the window.
