The Modifry straps are designed to make that bar pull back.

Sucks about those holes though. I'd get a paypal dispute going if the seller doesn't make it right. Don't wait on the dispute.

yea hes claiming that everything was fine when he shipped it out but clearly it wasnt and obviosuly the straps wouldnt lose elasticity overnight so he would have known for sure that i would need these modifry straps which wasn't stated. How would u approach the seller and what do you think a fair deal would be ..

Those holes in your new top are a common wear point btw.

I actually had that problem with my top when I took my car out of storage. It went away after a few days of top down though.

Nice car...shame about the top.

Sue that mofo's ass. have a look at the DIY section. I suspect one of the straps have has not been fixed

I did not know you could buy a used soft top. How do they get it off without damaging it?

I had my top replaced under warranty for holes. The top worked fine before the repair. The bar pulled back normally. The A _ _ hole doing the repair did not even bother to replace the straps. Just put the new top on. When I got it back the bar did not fold down. So my point is the straps may have been fine for the previous owner but not for you. Just replace them and the bar should work.
