Toughest decision of my life
Not to flame, but by the title of this thread I thought that someone was having a tough time.
"toughest decision of my life" usually means to me that you've got a very sick parent and have to decide, for them, if care will be continued or not. Or it means that you've been trying to have a baby for years, finally gotten pregnant and then have learned that the pregnancy will jeoprodize your wifes life. Or it means that your father beats you and you're deciding whether or not you should grab your toddler sister and see what life you can make for her and yourself on your own.
What is it you needed again?

100%, that's the reason i clicked on this thread... Oh well, some people just don't know what is a hard decision...BA...
I always tell people who ask the same question to wait and get a house first. But obviously you either haven't read all the other 1 million threads titled 'Should I buy an S2000' or 'S2000 or xxxplug car name herexxxx' or you have read them but feel the need to ask the same freaking question AGAIN!!!
So here it goes:
1. You SHOULD not get either. Get a POS 10 Year old Corolla and use the rest of the money to pay your student loan/living expenses.
2. You SHOULDN'T live for the moment. You won't be able to retire and live of 'the millions' you made out of selling your 2003 S2000 in 60 years time.
3. You WILL end up getting the most expensive of the two because you believe in the saying 'Live hard, Die young, have a beautiful corpse'. All those very real and logical calculations other members did in their posts do not mean crap to you. You are young... you can do anything... getting tail is more important than .... well pretty much anything!
4 You WILL be putting a for sale thread in a years time titled "Hardest thing I have ever had to do!" where you will list all the mods (worth thousands) you spent your money on. You will go on to explain that you really could not afford the car in the first place and that you will be driving a POS 20 Year Old Corolla until you get out of debt.
OK. I am getting off the soap box now...
Feel free to flame me...

Thank you for the input all. I guess this really wasnt the hardest decision of my life as choosing between two nice cars is not the end of the world but its a tuff decision and i just wanted to see what everyone who loves there S thought. My money would be stretched a little tight with the S but as soon as I get my first real good paying job it will not be a concern for me and that will only be a couple of months away. So i am off to the dealers to make my choice. Thanks everyone.
I would say get the S2000, eventually you will be married or whatever and will have a sedan. Even better you could buy my S and save some cash (comes w/winter tires)!! I just sold out to the sedan world (Volvo S60 T5, manual) and it is not nearly as much fun as the S, and I am going to be pissed when the weather gets warmer...although I am putting a deposit down on a Lotus Elise!!
I bought my S when I was 23 and just started my first job as well, as long as you can afford it you might as well do it...but don't go broke in the process and pay off any/all credit card debt you have before buying any car.
