The S has plenty of power to tow. What is lacks is a method and frame to properly attach a hitch. Sure you can do it. The question is will the hitch stand up to a panic stop after its been on the car 3 years. An aluminum frame offers no proper way to bolt the hitch in. Most cars tow ratings are determined not by power but by the hitch attach method and points along with stopping ability. If you do have an accident while towing you will be considered negligent in any court case and your insurance could refuse to cover the accident.

Chase Race makes a very well-engineered removeable hitch for this car (based on a design first created by H. Hammerly). http://www.chaserace.com/s2000/s2000hitches.html

It can be. I still think Gernby pulling around that 3000 boat was quite reasonable, given that he was only pulling it for a few flat miles on low-speed surface streets.
The farther you drive, the faster you need to drive to make things reasonable, and the more you end up having to drive up and down hills, in traffic, around higher speed corners, etc.
Very short trips make it easier to control the variables.

Or maybe it just seems too white trash to me to tow marine vessels with your Honda.... I kid, I kid....

[QUOTE=zbrewha863,Jul 5 2006, 03:31 AM]The issue that I have with the whole thing is whether or not he is going to be able to control the car correctly (i.e. brake and steer) with a couple jet-skis behind it.
