track day burning oil...
I've got 15,000 miles on my S2000.
I ran 167 miles at the Streets of Willow Springs today.
I burned a little over 3/4 of a quart. Is that normal for you guys when your at a track day and between 6-9k all day?
Another S2000 there said he hardly burned any so I wanted to be sure I'm fully seated.
At 15,000 I should be fully seated correct?
I still burn oil over say 600 miles I might burn 2x. I rev 9k almost every day and stay in v-tec a bit probably every day.
Just want to make sure my consuption is within spec.
Thanks again...

Yes, it is the Vtec.
Also, and I say this without ever having been to WS, you could have been 'passing oil'. This happens when you do a hard left while slowing down from Vtec without downshifting first.
The outcome is a big cloud of smoke coming out of the rear of the car. You won't notice it unless you are looking at your rear view mirror. But who the heck does that whilst doing a hard left !!:-)
Do a search on 'catch can' in the racing forum. You will get a better explanation for this. Apparently you can pass quite a bit of oil at the track this way.
