Default Track Time

I went to a competition last month called Car wars, its located in Kentucky, don't laugh now. But I competited against other normally aspirated car and placed 6th, I ran a 14.77 as my best run, I ran four times my reaction time being .638. This was done with the airbox opened and the spare tire and jack removed. Does this sound right as the time i should be getting?

Sounds in the range although you no doubt would have done better with the air box cover on. It sounds great that way but allows far too much hot under-hood air into the intake tract.

My car feels a lot better with the airbox off. I run the 1/4 mile with my box open and they seem to be pretty good times. So who knows...

Ive run both ways..and i can acheive the same times but with the airbox open i always get less mph...so i have come to the conclusion that there is probably more midrange with it open and less topend..and when its closed the opposite. The mph is about 2mph slower than with the box off for me.

Hope this helps.
