Default Traction Control and VSA

Does the 2005 s2000 have Traction Control and VSA ( Vehicle Stability Assist )
If it does, is it possible to turn it off? I need an answer quick!! Because I'm buying an used 2005 S2k in next 2 hours!!! HELP!!!

No, it has neither (edit: automated. You still have your right foot!). That feature was added in the 2006 model (and can be disabled).

oO really.... sigh.... oh well ~~ ~ ~ ~, but that s2k is a pretty good deal tho.... guess I have to use my feet to do all those results.... ( even my 2001 jetta 1.8t has TCS )

This is coming from a VDub guy too.
I know what your saying man. I had the coilpack go on my 02 1.8T and it sucked.
I also ended up doing a mod to totally disable the TCS unless I wanted to turn it on, because I got tired of turning it off everytime I started the car.

haha...reliability is one of the main reason why i got the s2000...i was gonna go evo or sti...or something else crazy but...NA power is where its at!!! no turbo issues to deal with...

also the ones with heated seats at least the 2004 Model year had trouble with the seats catching on fire,

replaced for free after recall

also the tailight assemblies would go dead for no reason, also replaced for free after recall

my friends rear window exploded once because he "put too much in the trunk"


vw has the worst reliability IMO, except for Jeep

Wise man once said, if one can not figure out how to defeat the VSA, then perhaps they shouldn't be disabling it...

LOL . . . ditto for my experience with my 99 Passat 1.8t, except the "image" thing

Do I enjoy the S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
