Traction/Shift Issue: "Wiggle"
Hello.
Straight-line aggressive shifting ( up and down >4500 rpm) creates a sensation that the rear of my car is losing traction. It could be best described as the rear end "wiggles". It feels as if the rear weighs less and there is zero traction. Right when the clutch engages and disengages is the most noticeable.
Upshifting from 2nd to 3rd gear during vtec is unnerving (feels like the rear tires are floating). Downshift is more of a wiggle motion. Car rear yaws right then left then center.
Its severe enough to make me think that if I didn't steer the car it would drift off-direction. (i now have to make steering corrections while shifting)
I recently had my stock AP1 suspension aligned Honda spec and changed the driver-side front and rear tire w/ a new stock pair. The right tires have at least 70% tread remaining, could that be why? I don't know of any other reason why.
I question perhaps it could be the limited slip differential but i'll ask another time. Thank you for your contributions and help with this.

Is this your first rear wheel drive vehicle? This sounds somewhat normal.
Although its always better to have both rear tires at the same amount of wear, if the left one has more tread its going to grip more than the right one and cause it to wiggle or move around when you shift. Replace all 4 tires with the correct size, have another good alignment, and if your still experiencing it then its probably just normal rear wheel drive behavior.
PS: Remember when you downshift to a high rpm the car will jerk forward sending most of the weight to the front tires so it will feel like the rear weighs less because there wont be as much weight on them. Lots of people wreck their s2k's because they downshift in the middle of a turn and transfer the weight to the front tires, rear loses traction and the car goes all over the place.

Check tire pressure too. Mine does that with more than four pounds difference between left and right.
Wiggle on the 2-3 shift as described is NOT normal. Most likely cause is uneven rear tire pressures.

and for the 3rd to 2nd gear thing, you should do a heel-toe to prevent the wheels to spin...
If you shift smoothly, does the car feel upset? Does it only feel upset when you jerk-shift your car?
