A while back I was thinking about trading MY02. My car then had 75,000 miles and he offered me $9,500 for a trade in value. I even thought that was low so I turned around and left. That might be what all dealers will give me for a trade in but im not letting my baby go for that! Especially to a dealer with a guy that acts like he knew everything about my car, then asked if my car was auto or manual.

Matt - At dealerships, you have to negotiate your trade value as well as the purchase price of the car you buy. Unreputable dealers come off the purchase price but decrease your trade value...its two seperate business transactions and should be treated as such.

Your car is worth more than $8.5. KBB is a guide, not the gospel.
