I rephrased what I said, the hardtop should be a priority in the CR.

I live in the South. I'm not buying a car for $40k with no AC. I would die from the heat before I could enjoy it.

thats almost lotus territory isnt it? although id love to have a cr i just think its a smarter and more cost effective move to keep what ive got

i had to vote no. this car is my daily. unless i could afford another, i would probably do it. hope the rumors are true, this could be a pretty wicked S.

not almost.. *IS*.you can pick up a brand new elise for damn close to 40k (i.e. listed at 44k, then bargain down).. a slightly used one with absolutely zero track miles for well under 40k.

My girlfriend just hit me the other day with the idea that she wants to buy a Lotus Elise for her next car.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Lotus. But the last thing we need is to have the S and a Lotus as our daily drivers.
