I wonder if you'll still get better mileage once you break it in all the way, and start VTECing. I know I got better mileage when my '05 was new.

When my husband and I go on trips together we both start out with full tanks and will hit the gas station together after 200 or so miles. My '05 always takes a little more gas than our, okay, his, '01. Everytime.

Yeah, but you're such a leadfoot, Patty!
Does that have something to do with it?

i'm looking at trading up from my 2000 berlina to an 06.. if the deal is a GREAT one it would make sense.

few questions tho..

what was the msrp of yours? also was $30899 otd price? if not, what?

i've noticed that a lot of the mods will not work with the 06 cars.. will the japanese tuners (amuse, j's, mugen, etc.) be offering new versions of their products for use with the 06 or do you think the car will have a poor aftermarket when compared with previous versions? eventually i'd like a s/c setup with other goodies so i would not want an 06 if there will be no compatible parts..

what is the spec of the rear speakers?? do they have cutouts behind the seats similar to lucids mods or what? i want to upgrade the stereo for sure.. wondering what i can work with dealing with stock locations.

another question i have is can you get the oem hardtop from honda included in the purchase price of the car?? i'd love a hardtop and if i finance the car with my credit union they will allow for any amount up to the (msrp or bluebook? can't remember) value of the car to be financed. i'd like to have everything included on the loan and with the deals going right now this would be possible even if they don't include the hardtop price in the msrp or bluebook value (don't know exactly how that works either)

also what are the trade-in prices looking like on s2k's at the honda dealers? it would be easier to trade in the car than selling it first but i want to get a good # for it.. mine is a 2000 berlina w/ 45000 in awesome shape (new softop and interior panels, etc. never abused, raced or launched). is it best to negotiate a trade-in price FIRST and then deal on the new car otd price? seems like it would keep them from playing weird number games..

thanks for any help.. sorry for such a long inquiry!

yeah that was OTD... well i had to put TTL ontop of that, but i got a tax break on my trade in so i only had to pay Tax on 12k..

From the way you've described the DBW, is the DBW suppose to correctly rev match on a downshift for us?
Now that would be amazing.

Cars with DSG do this as well. I didn't the the R6 did that - I'll have to ask. I didn't think that was needed with a slipper clutch....off to the bike forums!
