That's a little harsh. Have you ever seen the 914?

I actually think that the Boxster is one of the most beautiful Porsches ever!

I had a little run-in with a boxster on a 4 lane road with some sweeping turns. I started out behind him as we both took a right onto the 4 lane road. I swung wide into the left lane while he stayed in the right. We both laid into the throttle as soon as we could. I could see the puff of smoke from his exhaust. By the end of 2nd gear, my bumper was almost up to his. Once I shifted into third....it was "see ya"....I powered away while entering a sweeping turn up to about 90 then I laid off. By that point I was three or four car lengths on him. It was a blast. That was my first go in the S2000 and I was in love.

I have learned that if I want to toy around on the road I am taking a right onto, I need to shift to 1st. 2nd gear takes to long to work up to the power band from a right hand turn. The above encounter would have been even more of a stomping, if I had dropped it into first.

Yeah the wording was a bit harsh but the damn thing looks like you could drive it forward or backwards and it would still look the same coming and going. To symmetric for me.

Welcome to the board. Make sure you check the Southern California board section to see what we have going on locally.

You can get to the 600 miles break in faster if you just keep going out on those 60 mile grocery store runs.

Man this car is unreal...I put 100 miles on it between 10pm last night and 8am this morning. This Break In period is killing my no more than 5500RPM.

Hope to meet some cool people here and attend some local events.
