I love the Boxster. I thought Porsche did a great job on the design. One BIG reason I never got one was the cost to keep it up and (I don't know if it's true) you have to drop the engine to get some work done. Plus, I wasn't too confident in Porsche's reliability. The S2000 is my 4th Honda product and I know how reliable they are. Oh yeah, welcome to THE club and congratulations on a fine choice of roadsters.

Congrats. I for one will be interested to hear your comparisons after a couple of months.

I had strongly considered the Boxster before buying my S2000, until I drove one. My last car was a Porsche 944 so I was looking to stay with Porsche (they make phenominal cars) The Boxster, however, was a disappointment. It was not an exciting ride, albeit the car is beautiful. In order to get the excitement level of driving an S2000 I would have had to buy the more expensive Boxster S. We're now talking $60,000 for a car that is on par with a $30,000 Honda. The choice was obvious. Both cars, externally, are beautiful.

My apologies. No mis information intended. A friend of mine has a boxster and says that he can carry clubs or a passenger, but not both. The trunk did look awful small to me, but I did not try my clubs in it. Perhaps he just has not tried hard enough....
