Traded in my S...for an S
Today I traded in my 04 for an 06. Kept the NFR--because it IS the fastest color 
I mainly was interested in the trade because of the VSA. I'm planning to keep this car for a long time and wanted the latest features. Because of all the research I was able to gather on the Forums, I was able to make an informed decision. This is a great site.

1st question that pops in my mind is that you went from an 04 to an 06...what if you had an 03? Have you ever driven an ap1?
I'm just curious because I've thought about getting the new 06 or 07 myself, but for some reason, ownong an ap1 ('03) as I do I feel like I'd be giving up something special. Yes that does include the 9k redline, but I also like the center console and definitely the old radio door as opposed to the newer desingns.
Just my opinion. My intention is only to ask what you would have done had you owned a pre '04 model. I ask because I question this myself. The '06 model has gotten some nice improvements over '05 and of course pre '04 models (in USA). Some of which I would like to have with only 3 main complaints. The 8k, the center console, and the ugly radio cover.
Again...NOT trying to say this is better that that etc...just curious.

I'm waiting for the rx7 to come back. Being a previous owner + I really loved that car. I've seen some stuff in one or two magazines, but they don't seem to know what Mazda is doing yet either! I just hope if they do make a new rx7 they don't #### it up!!!
The rx8 was second on my list behind the s2000 in '03. I'm so gald I chose the s2k!!!
