I never drove an AP1, so I don't know if I would have felt differently about the trade if I had. The dealer offered $24,000 for the 04--but I don't this this is typical. We had other offers in the neighborhood of $22,000. We've done a lot of business with our dealer.

I traded a MY00 for a MY05 because there were huge differences between both and I liked what the MY05 offered in almost every case. Going from a MY04 to a MY06 doesn't really sound like a good idea IMO. I guess it is all relative though and maybe you make enough money to justify the huge loss of $ for very subtle changes.

To me, VSA is more than a subtle change, but to each his own

1st question that pops in my mind is that you went from an 04 to an 06...what if you had an 03? Have you ever driven an ap1?

I'm just curious because I've thought about getting the new 06 or 07 myself, but for some reason, ownong an ap1 ('03) as I do I feel like I'd be giving up something special. Yes that does include the 9k redline, but I also like the center console and definitely the old radio door as opposed to the newer desingns.
I've had both...and got over the Ap1 quick once I picked up an 06

Depending one what Hondata is able to manage with their reflash and/or programmable ECU that they're developing for the 06, I may be doing that same trade myself in a year or so. Except I'll be sticking with Berlina, because it truly is the fastest color.

Way to go Ms. Diem! I got a '06 also. It is 2 days old and I am loving every minute of it. I like the improvements for the '06. It is a daily driver for me so the VSA is great for the rain and little snow and ice here. I got mine for $30,782.

Just wondering if there is any news if AEM has come out with anything new for the 06 in reference to the EMS?

you should have waited for the '08.....in addition to VSA, the '08 models will have autopilot, a porta-potty, and AWD
