Exactly! I had a blast while I owned it, even though I had problems. Now I have another great sports car.

I drove both cars several times before I finally chose the S. IMO the 350 was claustaphobic and lacked the connectivity and visceral driving experience that the S simply exuded. I knew both cars had some minor issues, the Z more than the S, but in the end it was all about the car I liked more. So far so good.

They're both great cars, but let us know how the Z works out for you in a few months. I'd be surprised if it doesn't have problems of its own.

WTH is wrong with everyone thinking the Z has problems?

"The 350z, even current 04's still have the same problems as the 03. What's worse, if you try to bring your car to the dealership, they will tell you the suspension was changed for 04 and therefore your tires won't be replaced. I am not trying to bash you but i just can't imagine how you can decide on the car when you said you have done much research."

Thsi is BS, the Z's are FINE for 04. Early 04 will still have some suspension issues SOMETIMES but in 04.5 that was adressed.

7 months with my 04.5 and not a single gear grind, not pulling right, tires are perfect, not even the window grease streak! I have seen no complaints from any 04.5 owners, and only a couple suspension issues for early 04 owners.

Shesh..

I like the 350Z and wouldn't mind owning one, but only when I can't have an S anymore. S2000's are just too much fun; not the fastest, but the funnest, of one of the very few funnest.

I think the choice was a good start, but maybe the wrong direction. By the wrong direction I mean another car with similar issues as the S. Maybe something a little higher in the food chain would give better results.

The facination between Z and S owners over each others car is funny.

I hope you have a really good experience with your new Z and rock on dude.

Here's what I think about the Z: Nissan's "new look" is already dated. The design team is just a little out of control with the whole techno thing. It's reminicnet of '80's styling with all it's angles and what not. Talk about clutter. But this is aesthetics and you can't argue somethig so subjective. I just think the S is a little more tasteful and pure in it's design.

I do appreciate it's truck-like engine though.
