Tranny grind and clutch fix
It seems that dealers will not fix this under warranty unless the grind is demonstrable or the owner is convincing that it does happen.
For me, grind is not a problem and I'd hate for the dealer to mess up something else fixing something that wasn't broken in the first place.
I'm dragging my feet on the seat belt thing for now. They have always worked fine.

Although I have no doubt you could convince a dealer to do the replacement, American Honda says the dealer should be sure the repair is needed before doing it. My question is why would you want to have dealership personnel crack open your transmission to replace parts that are working just fine with parts that will work exactly the same?
not to mention that if people w/o the problem start hounding the dealers to fix a non existent problem, it will only make it even more likely they will doubt, and give those who do have the problem a hard time about "proving it". As was said before, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
If it ain't broke don't fix it! After my expierences with the dealers there is a good chance that they will mess up something else or put it together wrong. Remember you have a 3 year warranty. It's most likely that if you don't have the problem now you will never experience it.

sbarbera,
Just like "RHES2K" says..."if it aint broke, don't fix it."
You guys are fortunate to not have the grind...just leave well enough alone.
I had the grind. It was a pain to have my baby in the shop for 3 days and going through another break in. The car feels great now, except for the fact that the clutch does not feel as strong as it was before. Mabye it's time for a new one?

cdelena,
Was your clutch replaced at the same time? I know that there is some gray area, as far as I'm concerned, to whether Honda is replacing the clutch under the same TSB.
My clutch has slipped twice on me. It happened under circumstances that I would not have figured should. It's also very noisy.
Can you provide some insight?
Thanks,
Paul

There are a number of threads in the last two weeks on this very subject. Mine slipped, I complained and they replaced it after looking at it. It is not automatic with the TSB. I can only suggest talking to the dealer about it.
