Default tranny oil?

what's the best tranny oil for the AP1 transmission? i've heard GM synchromesh is the most common. i just had a tranny transplant (refilled with some Amsoil MTF) and it doesn't feel nearly as slick as the original (in which i was using Honda MTF). TIA

Amsoil is a good product, so I wouldent worry about it. Unless it starts to grind alot. Try it out for awhile and let us know how it works.

Amsoil is the best you can put into an s2000. It is better than Honda's own, and actually the ONLY tranny fluid other than Honda's that is authorized by honda. GM doesnt work well in s2000s. Its nice for 1000 miles, then feels terrible.

I've been using Honda's oil, no complaints.

Is there any place to buy the new Honda MTF other than a Honda dealership? If not, I'm just going to have them do my tranny fluid change.
