Default transmission problems

I've got a black 00 with 15k miles. I had the proverbial first-second shift grind. Took it to Brighton Honda cuz I didn't trust Lansing Honda (screwed up simple seat belt recall). Brighton replaced 1-2 gears, but had the car for THREE WEEKS! How many summer weeks do we get in Michigan. ?

Two weeks after I got it back, I couldn't get it into 5 or 6th gear. Another 3 days (replaced a nub under the shifter that was gone. Today, shifter felt stiff for a few minutes and now I can't get it into reverse! I have yet to find a dealership that has done enough work on this car to be proficient.

Anyone have similar problems or any suggestions? I'm tired of missing good trip opportunities to the service garage (maybe I'll do a Fred Flintstone to back it up). I'd like to find a good transmission shop familiar with this car to get this fixed for good...

I bought my car from Sunshine Honda in Plymouth. I haven't had a reason to take my car in for any work but based on what I have heard, they get high marks. Really sorry for your problems -- you might try posting under "Clubs" as well. Look for Upper Mid-West which would include MI, although I think they left our state off the list (hopefully not on purpose).
