I've done it with and without the seat (ap1 sizes).
One in the trunk, without the tool block and the other three in the seat.
Not ideal, but doable in a pinch.

I half expected this to be a throwback to circa 2001. This was a common thread topic when the early owners were trying to drag tires to autoX.

I just transported 4 17" bead lock rims for a truck today.. 1 in the trunk, 3 in the passenger side.

A friend of mine was doing club level competition in a Triumph TR6, & had a similar problem.

He could fit one almost deflated in the trunk, fitted a light tow bar, & a cyclical carrying fitting that slid into the towbar, modified to carry 2 wheels & tyres. The last strapped down on the trunk lid & the tyres on the rack. He said the steering was very light with that weight out back, but OK for sensible driving.

This worked for a couple of years before he could afford a trailer & tow car.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I didn't want to start a new one for a similar question.

Alright, So I have two tires (255) and I need to go drive about 15 miles to pick up my wheels (17x9). After picking up my wheels I will be driving another 10 miles to a shop where I will purchase two more tires and get them all mounted and installed. From here, I will drive home with the 4 stock wheels and tires.

I am not worried about the two tire haul, and I am not worried about the 4 stock haul back home. I am concerned about the 2 tire + 4 wheel haul for 10 miles to my tire shop.

Does anybody see this as a posibility?

A lot of the examples given are using stock size tires and wheels or maybe slightly larger (225/255), but if you have a squared setup or aftermarket wheels/tires it becomes a little more challenging. Here is how I did my square 17x9 wheels with 255/40/17 bridgestone re11's:

(BTW, red ap2v2 are for sale! https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/113...y-red-reduced/ )

2 in passenger seat, 1 in trunk, and 1 on roll bar held with towels and bungee cords:
