Default the triangular vents of a TS hood

is it me, or does it appear that the corner of the vents over the header of the TS hood would just collect water and isn't really functional? is there some kind of hole or small vent in that corner, or is it purely aesthetics? I'm not talking about the two rectangular vents, but in the corner.

by looking at that picture it looks like it's a TS Style hood. The vents tell it all on the copys and the authentic. Anyhow the style hoods have no hole on the corner triangle and I can see that it would create a puddle of water.

Whereas the authenthi hood I believe has the vents going through to the battery if i'm not mistaken.

Here's my TS style hood with the grill vents removed to make it look authenthic

They were originally made for RHD cars which have the brake master cylinder on that side.
