That seems fishy to me.
Yup. So much for credibility with the rest of those numbers too...

7 years and only 35k miles....

I wonder how those numbers would break down if you actually drove the thing

My car is eating the inner sidewall of the tire and i already had a wheel alignment!!!!!And it isn't even dropped yet...I know the tires don't last that long, but shit,im not trying to spend $800 plus on tires, every 6 months, because the inside of the tire iz worn, but the rest is ok

I don't consider this thread worthy of the title of "True cost of ownership" for an S2000 because you've only driven your car to a total of 35k miles... That's.. what? ... About 416 miles a month? I've had my car for 2+ years and am already past 22.5k miles.
Many owners have daily driven their S2Ks since purchasing them several years back; those people should make a thread like this to show others how much they've spent in total on the S since purchasing it new.
No offense to the OP, though.

^ Agreed. To more than 50% of the people reading this, the S2000 is a daily driver of some kind. 20K miles a year v. 5K a year....big difference in 7 year maintenance cost.

LOL....my s2k IS a daily driver. My daily drive just isn't very far....I bought my house because it's about 2 miles from my office. My weekly "commute" is a whopping 20 miles.

Wow and you changed your MT fluid WAY more often than necessary
My 1-2 syncros work much better on fresh fluid. Lately I've just gotten in the habit of changing it when I'm doing an oil change. Not much extra work, and ~$10 for smoother shifting.

I'm interested to hear from the people that drive 10-12k miles a year thats probably what I average but I've only had mine 2 weeks so I can't really contribute to this thread yet lol
