Default Is it true? Driving in the rain

I have only one week to go before I get delivery of my new yellow 05 S2k. On the first test drives, the dealer told me that the aerodynamic styling of the car means that if you drive in the rain with the top down, you will stay dry as long as you keep moving.

Is this true?

If it is, then how fast do you have to drive to stop rain coming into the passenger area?

yup, its true with most convertibles.
i have done it several times in the s2000...
as long as you time the stop lights properly, you can stay dry with the top down and the windows up.
the required speed depends on how strong the rain is.

Yep, at freeway speeds you will stay dry. It worked for me several times. But, since the tires are a little tricky in the rain when they get worn down a bit, you may want to be careful how fast you go to stay dry.

Nonsense. The S2k cabin stays dry from 80k up in any and all rain conditions. The only negative you may have is that you will get a fine misting of raindrops on the inside of the screen due to the aerodynamics of the vehicle.

Another vote for yes. Ive done it many time, and in decently heavy rain. Dry as can be.

How tall are you? I got caught in a bit of rain while I was in a construction zone once (no shoulder to pull over and put the top up). I was doing about 50-55mph and I was staying dry, but my cousin was getting pelted in the forehead, and the tops of the seats & roll hoops were getting wet, too. I'm 5'9" and my cousin is 6'4", so I figure that was a factor.
