It sure is funny to watch all the expressions you get from other people as you're driving with the top down in the rain

mxt_77 - I have seen the tops of the roll hoops get wet, but it has never hit me and I'm 5'8".

You can also clean your windshield with the top down and don't have to worry about getting wet - but - you typically need to put your windows up to keep the water from sneaking in off the sides of the windshield.

the only drop-top car i have driven in that kept rain water out of the cabin better was the lexus sc430. the s2000 does a great job though i've driven through rain showers no problem. as soon as you have to stop tho u better get that parking brake up and the roof moving pretty quick

I have driven in moderate rain at 50-60 mph - the only problem is that I have RainX on the windshield and side windows. This caused some of the water to slide off the side of the windshield onto the side windows and run back up over the top corner of the side windows and drip onto my shoulder. Otherwise quite dry.

Thats the only issue. You have to keep the windows up, or the rain comes around the windshield. With the windows up, the rain works its way around the windows, an falls into the tonneau/top area.

Here's a little video taken last summer - I would say this way a bit more than 'moderate' rain. I had my camera, directions, radio, etc... all on the seat and nothing got wet. http://lilaw.info/md_pa_border_event_5_03.htm and you'll find the link. Video courtesy of Defender, driving courtesy of me.

I'll agree with the S2000GT- I find the threshold to be around 40 mph or so.

you need to do the "top up/down whilst moving" mod

You will stay dry, I found though in heavy rain, having the side windows down was better, otherwise the rain would go up the window and over and down onto my shoulder. If it is POURING you have to go fast, VERY fast, 80mph range.
