Default True Texas Bull Sh@#

Figure this one out. After about six months of rim shopping I decide to purchase the new Konig Blatants in the opal finish. I've owned six other sets of Konigs and I was always very satisfied. My tech put them on the other day and when he pulled it around something just wasn't right on the
rear of the car.The rear tires and rims where sticking out about 1/2 outside of the fender. I was shocked because I'd thought I had done al my homework on the fitment end. The rear rims are only 18 by 8 and the rear tires are kumho 255/35/R18's.
The way I understood it was the SO2 stock had an 8.5 inch contact patch so you needed a 255 to match that. I called Konig before the purchase because I was looking at the Blatant in carbon at first. The salesman for konig informed me that they only made that rim for the S in silver and opal. I went with the opal because I wanted to keep the car correct for future plans of lowering the car so rubbing was a huge issue. So to make a long story short, I called Konig and they feel that I was incorrect for putting that tire on there rim, Bullshit. I feel they didn't do there research enough because if the did they would of made that rim in the correct offset in the first place. I truly feel that if they want to consider themselves a reputable companuy they will fix this error, but for now they are treating a longtime educated client as a piss on. I will keep you posted but as for now I shall have to wait.
Sorry about my spelling, my edit system while proof reading is shot!

I don't know off the top of my head but I'll find out. It's odd because the fronts look fine but the rears are way out.

it happened to me too. i purchased a set of konig tantrums. I wanted the offset look of having the back wheels bigger than the front. So i ordered 18X7.5 in the fronts, and 18x8 in the rear

I put 225 on the front and 245 on the rear

Once i got them,, i had a problem with the rears rubbing. I called discount tire america and they said.. hmmm.. how interesting, because the guy assured me that it would fit. So what we did was order the same rear as the front, and it fits nicely. It looks like it would rub, but it is fine.

They guys told me that if i was to reduced the back size to about a 30, it would have fit. But i didn't want that low of a side wall, so i didn't do that.

In the end, Discount Tire America helped me out greatly, even gave me a full refund on those tires and rims, after i put about 1000 miles on them......

Brother thanks for the advice,I'm a little confused though. did you put a
18 by 7.5 rim in the rear or a 225/40zr18 tire in the rear?
