i have the same problem. dont want the xm... gonna try to trade for a trunk without xm.

are there VIN stickers on the trunk? and can you peel them off and put them on a new trunk if i traded with someone?

 

Yes, there are. If you try to remove them, you'll ruin the VIN sticker. The other thing to consider is the key for the trunk won't work with the new one, so make sure you plug the trunk release back in!

I switch my trunk over quite often for track days and I don't have a key for the other trunk

 

another consideration is your trunk color. like if you have spa yellow, good luck finding someone local who wants to do a trunk swap with you.

 

I would love to trade my trunk with someone with an xm ate NA already installed!

 

What color? If the only issue with the car is a XM radio antenna you're in good shape.

 

Switching they key hole is just another 2 bolts. I have a track trunk with wing and I always move the key cylinder when I swap trunks. I never know what kind of mistake I might get myself in and I want that mechanical unlock if I need it!

In order to key it take out the lock cylinder, its easy to change out. 10MM, just like everything else on a Honda

 

Sebring Silver. But right now it's wrapped with vinyl to look black. I can always remove it and it will be silver again. Also it does have the oem wing on it.
