Default Trying to sell my S2000

Well, Ive decided now just isnt the time in my life for this car and I am looking to sell it.

I owe $17,300 on my 2001 S2000 w/ 56k miles and a Honda Certified Warranty.

What is the best (and fastest) way to sell the car?

I have listed it on the for sale forum here, what other options are worth looking into? I doubt I'll get what I owe if I trade it in. How about CarMax - what do they usually offer relative to trade-in? How about autotrader or cars.com?

thanks.

You could check with Carmax. I sell to them all the time. How stock is it? Carmax won't buy modded cars. I like Autotrader too.

As a general rule, I'd buy a stock car over a modded one any day. If you have mods, I'd put it back to stock. I don't think $17K's unreasonable for a car of that age with those miles.

laurel carmax offered me $15k for my s2k and i only had 29k miles, this was a month ago...
i also had a small crack in the plastic window, but they didn't notice it since i had static tint on..lol

that might give you an idea on pricing....
and autotrader, good luck with that, got mine there right now, and not getting very much interest at $17.5k...except for the usual "kids" asking "what's the lowest price you'll take b.s."

you got pm

Local advertising too.

Sorry but there's no way it's worth close to what you owe. I bought a 2001 with 60K miles for less than $17K....over 2 years ago. It was in perfect condition too. I doubt you'll get over $15, but good luck.

Have you run a blue book on it?

That might give you a good idea of what you can ask for it in your area.

Carmax. Have never sold them my car, but have had a few friends with positive outcomes and the Co. Worth looking into.

Just another option.
