TSB 054 Finally fixed!
A few months back I took my 01 S2000 (around 4000 miles at the time) to the nearest Honda dealer (Bellevue Honda in Bellevue Washington with a copy of the TSB in hand. They took the car for a spin around the block and told me -- nope, we can't hear anything.
Sigh. Yeah sure, oh well it's not a major issue.
So yesterday I finally worked up enough patience to try again -- this time with a different dealer, Seattle Honda in downtown Seattle. Same deal, I dropped the car off with a copy of the TSB (gave one to the service manager and left a copy on the passengers seat). This afternoon I called the dealer to check in -- and woohoo -- they are replacing my clutch as I write this. Finally, no more brrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnndddddddzzzzzz on deceleration.
Being that this is warranty work and Honda only gives 4.2? Hours to perform the work, could the problem be that certain dealers find it difficult to make a margin on this service due to lack of experience and therefore refuse to perform the work?
