Default Tsb question

I live in Nj, however I go to school in Virgina. I plan to take my car in tomorrow to the local Honda dealership here in Va to get my oil change. When I go to get my oil change i'm going to present them with couple of tsb's that I want done too my car.[grinding when shifting into 2nd gear, spark plugs, buzzing noise when decelerating, and convertible top creaking]. I have a 2000 with about 23,000 miles on it and it is still under warranty. The problem that I see is that obviously this is not the Honda dealership that I go to. And i'm not sure if they will do the tsb for free? I plan to present the seat belt recall first and then the tsb's. Do you think they will do it? Or will they just tell me to go back to New Jersey and have it done? This raises another dillema, I wont be going back to New Jersey for awhile and when I do, my 3 year warranty will be over. Any suggestions, ideas? Thanks

as long as the car is under warranty, the dealership HAS to do the TSB's. even if the car just got out of warranty, the dealership can do a favor for you and either go ahead and do the TSB or split the cost with you.

Now this is for sure? Because I want to get this taken care of before the warranty runs out. Thanks a lot

TSB's should be fixed for free. All the ones I had were...even if it wasn't done at my usual dealership

Do you have the HondaCare warranty? If your car is a MY00, it's unlikely that they'd take care of the TSBs for free since it's out of it's manufacturer's warranty.

what do you mean its out of manufacturer's warranty? I do have a 2000, bought in summer in 2001. The warranty will end this coming summer 04.

So I went to Honda today and presented them with the spark plug and seat belt recall, without hesitation they offered to do asap. On the otherside, when I showed them the tsb's, they were like "where did you get these?" All shocked that I had such easy acess to them i'm assuming. I'm going back this Tuesday because they want to ride in the car with me, to see if there is actual noise when decelerating and if the top actually creaks when going on bumpy roads. Which it will because I have to deal with it everyday. It isnt such a big deal, but warranty is coming close to its end, so I want to get my moneys worth!
