I had TSBs 54 and 55 completed yesterday. While the gearbox is smooth as silk, my car now sounds like a lawn mower. There is a clicking noise coming from the engine. It's present at idle as well as at speed. The mechanic thought that it might be a seal, but found no leaks. He told me to drive the car and see if it goes away. What a great diagnosis. Do you guys have any ideas as to what might be wrong?

I would check for the following logos in your engine bay.
  1. Briggs & Stratton
  2. LawnBoy
  3. Tecumseh
  4. John Deere
  5. Deer John?
  6. Oh yeah, Honda

j/k!!

NolaS2k,

I would drive it to another dealer and see what they have to say. I hate it when the mechanic can hear the problem and then say "maybe it'll go away". Get another Honda mechanic to look at it.
