Default Turbo S2000

We're pretty much done with the turbo on my S. We got a couple of dyno runs in last night and they were in the 325-326 RWHP range. We;re getting ready to pull the manifold and send off some of the other piping for powdercoating and painting. I know some of the members of this board said that it wasn't possible to achieve this kind of hp with only 6 psi but I guess the 'proof is in the pudding', as they say. As soon as everything comes we'll re-assemble and post some numbers and pics. They car will probably make it's debut at NOPI in Atlanta on Sept. 15-16. I still have some questions as to the reliabilty of the drivetrain so I'm going to take it easy for a while but it sure seemed impressive on the dyno.

Congratulations.. besides pics it would be great if you could share the dyno chart and especially your driving impressions. The real questions are what do you like and dislike with the result.

That sounds great! If you dont mind me asking, who did the design and fabrication work for your turbo? Are there plans to "mass" produce the turbo as a kit, and if so how much $$ would it be?

Pepe,
I'm not planning on posting pics until we put it back together with all of the 'pretty' piping and such.

Cdelena,
I haven't really driven the car yet enough to get any 'driving impressions'. I took it down the block and all that I can say is, there is absolutely no question that the car is MUCH faster. With a fairly mild second gear roll on the tires were having trouble getting traction and I have a pretty new set of OEM S02's.

Hi50,
I have a local guy that I've been using for a long time but would rather not disclose the info just yet. I'll post everything, probably towards the beginning or middle of next month. As far as 'mass production', not really but we are planning producing multiple kits if the interest is there. My mechanic is working on pricing and is already working on producing another manifold to help him determine pricing. My initial guess is in the $6K neighborhood but it will depend on how many people are interested.

Just for some clarification, the $6K price I mentioned is a high estimate. My mechanic said around $5,500.00 I was just giving him a bit of a buffer by saying $6K.

At what RPM does the turbo kick in? I think that you mentioned in an old post that you were looking for full boost at 4k or lower -- did you get this?
