Default Turbo, supercharge, or all motor for s2k?

Am going for one of the three, but am not sure which one i want, right now am inclined to turbo, get a lot of power for the money, but at the same time i dont trust it rearding reliability....all motor, on the other hand, i get high reving, killer sound, and very reliable, but also takes a lot money, and not much power out of it, need opinions and information, thanx.....

Why is turbo unreliable?

If you do any correctly and get a good tune job, all will be reliable. Turbo sucks because it will not pass emissions, so you'll have to take it apart each year to get the car to pass. All motor is really a waste, unless you want to keep the car mostly stock and just do a couple NA mods. Going for a fast all motor car is going to cost you thousands and thousands of dollars, and will still not be as fast as supercharge/turbo. I recommend going with a supercharger or nitrous setup.

IMO, NA is better. Yes it is high cost to stay NA but at the same time you will enjoy the linear power without any lag. Too much power makes the car harder to drive. I am only making 225whp but it is good enough to compete with alot of fast cars at the track.

I don't think so. Spoon sells a balanced and blueprinted F20C that will probably get you a 10 - 15hp gain over stock.

Why wont a turbocharged S pass emissions but a supercharged will ? I would think it would be the other way around.

it is different from state to state, but in california any intake or exhaust part without CARB sticker is deemed as an illegal mod.

The SC from comptect is a bolt on kit (which they got CARB stickers for) so you can have it on the car while getting tested....

turbo cars usually takes a lot of piping and harder (and expensive) to get CARB sticker... bascially you fail the visual test.

I personally think you should be allowed to put any mod you want as long as it passes sniffer test, but the regulators doesn't think that way...
