Default turbo or supercharger???

I am wanting to do something new to my s2k but I dont know. I want a turbo cause I love them so much but I dont know if it would be best for my s2k would it mess it up in the long run? would the supercharger be better for the car? and wich would give it more hp and if so how much?

supercharger would be more reliable and easier to install and use. No boost spikes, doesnt heat up like a turbo, and takes up less space, no need for an intercooler etc. Supercharger would be the way to go personally. I have done turbo work to my car before and let me tell you it is frustrating. between overboosting, spikes, turbo lag and all the other problems I wanted to take a big hammer to my car. Superchargers also dont have turbo lag. Turbos though, can provide a lot more power if u do alot of work, superchargers provide a max ( i believe) of a 40% increase in power. More than enough, so u would have close to 100 hp more, so 336 bhp i believe. More reliable, easier, plenty of power, i say supercharger, and I would wait to see if Jackson makes a supercharger for the S...

Tuning is very key to a good turbo kit. Aswell as well thought out design not just parting things together and slapping it on. I agree for the most part with NABAREV but on the other hand I do believe that there is no reason why you can't have a relieble Turbo charged S2000 with incredible power potential. As far as turbo lag is concerned, it is reduced when you use ballbearing turbos which of course are more expensive than the conventional turbos but they offer greater performance. Basically you get what you pay for.

FYI if you are interested I'm selling a brand new $6200 Speedcraft turbo kit for $5500

I personally don't think Honda's are meant to be supercharged or turbocharged. If I had to pic one, I'd obviously go supercharged. It will be a fairly easy install and will most likely run right the first or second time you start your car. Turbo kits for cars that wern't meant to have a turbo, are nightmares. Plus you will probably blow it up in the end anyways. There are lots of Honda's blowing their engines with turbos but you don't hear a whole lot from the supercharged guys.

I've said this a thousand times, if you do decide to go turbo, make sure you can control your boost electronically. The reason my car can run 20-21psi boost is because i run that up to around 3,000-4,000 rpms and then my ecu starts to slowly drop my boost to 16-18, then at 5,500 12psi. and so on. Your car you'll need the (6-12psi lets say) orwhat ever a s2k can run, down low but you're engine is not going to beable to handel it at 9,000rpms. The reason all the Honda guys are blowing their engines is because they're trying to run all this boost down low, which is fine, but up top it isn't going to happen unless you fully build your engine which i don't think you are planning on doing. If you can electronically control your boost and let it slowly fall as your rpm's rise, with accurate timing and fuel, you could build a really powerful, and probably reliable F20.

If you don't want to spend the personal time, and dyno time, get the superchager. If you feel like you don't want either go all motor. The S2000 makes power past 9,000's, see what you can get out of it with a built ECU and other crap. that's my 2 cents worth.

You can get a bit more than 40%. My car dyno'd stock at 200 RWHP. I am currently at 303 RWHP (51.5% increase).
