That's scary... I'd at least reposition the stock seat while getting an aftermarket one that sits lower..

Glad I'm not the only one. I was having this happen frequently at autocross, never on a road though. It was funny the first time, but the next few were embarassing. I finally just gave in and repositioned my seat and it hasn't happened since. Stock seats sit just a little too high for me.

So I was left with a locked up steering wheel entering a sharp turn. Lucky for me, I was able to slow the car in a safe manner, turn the keys to the on position, press the start button, and drive on.

This never happened to me before, so I was wondering if anyone else experienced this. Ive had the car for a couple months now, but I'm guessing it might be due to the tight cabin or my pedal work may be excessively animated. Anyways, this could have been really bad because the steering locks up and after you pump the brakes once, those are done as well. Be careful!
You have just given me something to worry about.

Happeend to me multiple times on track during hard braking while heel toe downshifiting. At first I thought it was my car stalling but then I realize it is my knee hitting the key.

I'd really love to get some video of how violently you guys are moving your legs.

I think my knee barely moves when going from gas to brake, even during heel-toe.

I think it's supposed to be heel and toe shifting positions, not the whole leg jumping around with your knee in the air. Watch some professional heel and toe work and you'll see that they do not lift their legs a lot. Look on Youtube for videos of Basic heel and toe shifting. The movement is in your foot at your ankle, not your knee jumping up.

Maybe they have a T-Rex build, you know long legs but short arms. To get the proper track posture, elbows near their sides, their legs would be folded up with knees near the lock cylinder.
