Glad that you're alright. Since we haven't had rain in a while, you probably hit a slick spot on the freeway.

There are plenty of us that have an S2K in LA. It's a very fun car to drive and is somewhat practical. If you need a good bodyshop in the area to fix it up, I can recommend one to you.

You can see the engine has started to eject by it's raised (at the front) position which makes me wonder what effect on safety a solid 1 piece billet strut tower brace would have in such an accident.

Muz, a good point, but not to worry. I recall from my experiences with wrecks of cars having these STB and from my Penn State Days as a mechanical Engineering major that the STB is a very strong brace, however it is not strong in the direction that would be presented in such an accident. So yes it will have some affect, but it will not stop the car from being safe.

Wow... that really sucks.... Thank god you are OK.

Good luck getting another car... I would also suggest a used Audi S4... My friend has one, and although it is quite heavy, its passive and active safety features makes it a very easy car to drive fast regardless of the outside conditions.

Glad 2 see that you're ok
Sorry about the S2k though, they should total it. It will cost a fortune 2 repair it & it will never be the same. You should get another one but I understand if u don't. Once u have an accident in a car that small it changes u for life. I've had a few in my del sol so I know.
