No, only works on the shifter centre console. And only the 00-01s have the overcoated paintwork hiding the chrome while the 02-03s have a plastic version instead. The 04s and upwards have a completely different design providing more functionality.

Do NOT do this on an 02-03. A local guy saw a thread like this and did it to his '03. It looked horrible afterwards.

I have an '01 and it worked great. Sorry, no pics though. Trust us!!

This is the only picture I have available right now. Picture was taken after using the "Wet Sanding" approach, install of Ricks Leather Center Console and Boot Strap. Hope that helps.

I used water. Some others have used oil. Oil, I think would get to messy and make cleanup more difficult.

The gunmetal color is the coating. Once you sand that coating off, it will look like polished chrome. See my pictures above.

It has a top coating that you can actually scrape off with your fingernail. That's how I found out about it. Be careful the chrome underneath scrathes easily.

I just did mine... I didn't like it plus i did a horrible job some acetone got on the cup holder lid so i had to put a DC Sport Vinyl to cover it up... Just be very careful with the Acetone, those stuff takes out anything, and yes the chrome scratches easily.
