Default The Ultimate Spinout Poll

With all the threads about spinning out, I'm wondering how many people have spun their cars unintentionally on public roads. (This doesn't count track days, doing donuts in the parking lot, or whatever.) I'm also wondering how much of this is due to the spring spacer issue, and how much difference there is between the 00-03s and the 04s.

No spin outs. I've got about 2100 miles on my car. Only did a nice slide (accidental) coming out of a right turn merging with traffic. I kept my foot on the gas and countered.

Spinouts usually happen when the driver runs out of talent.

I spin out at least once at every auto-x. (I'm thinking of putting the front sway bar stiffer.) I've also spun out on a track. I've never spun on the street but I guess I was lucky enough to take it to an auto-x that was on a track 5 days after I bought it. With bad tires and a spring spacer still in place on the right rear, I gained a healthy respect for the propensity of this car to come around although I'd have to say that with new tires, a mean ass alignment and a front sway bar, the car behaves much, much better.

These "spacers" on the suspension are removed by the dealer when you purchase the car, correct?
What do they do anyway?
Thanks,
H

They're to help maintain ride height during shipping.
