Default UNBELIEVABLE!

Last week I noticed a nice little cut in the driver side of my top. After further inspection I realized it was the infamous defect I read about before. For those not aware of what I am talking about, in some cases the top mechanism will rub the inside of the top during operation creating uniform cut above the top rear corner of the side windows. I was shocked because my car is an '02 with only 27k. I immediately called my dealership and let them know there was a problem with the top I wanted them to look at. On the way to drop off the car I was sitting in traffic and looked up to the right only to see a small spec of daylight peering through the passenger also. Later that day I was told to come pick up the car and they had to talk to corporate to see what they could do. When I arrived to pick up the car I was greeted by my service advisor and joked "So they call to tell you to replace it yet?" I was pleasantly shocked when he said "Yes, they just called 20 minutes ago". Honda actually did the right thing and is going to replace my top as a "Goodwill" replacement with no bullshit involved. Perfect experience!

you should be thanking your dealership as well. most won't bother to fix the problem unless they get some $$ out of you.

You should name the dealership for props maybe. Also to let some of us know in your area where to go if this problem occurs for us.

Write a 'Thank you' card to the Service Manager. Keep good relations with them.

Immke Honda in Dublin Oh did the same for me.

nice! wish there would be more people willing to do the RIGHT THING rather than be an ass for no reason. its not like the money comes out from their own pocket or anything like that- this is just from reading the horror stories from the other "TALK TO HONDA" forum. seems like some dealerships just love to screw the crap of their customers.
