Unorthodox Racing PULLEY SET
I was lucky enough to find a set for sale from a member in the "want to buy" forum. Perhaps there may be a set or two out there. Have mine installed, but winter has put an end to driving till spring. I can't say if they improved perforance all by themselves though. I had a header installed at the same time as the pulleys, so who knows. It sure feels like something nice is happening though!

I'd consider them at $250 but I like to hear a real first-hand account/dyno of em as well. At $200 or less I'd risk it and give it a shot.

My real reason for getting them was to "bling Out" the engine bay a little. Those black lumps on the front of the engine with the stock airbox removed looked , well just too ordinary. These look nice.

I would get these but I wouldn't use the crank pulley. It doesn't have any dampening., which is bad for the crankshaft and bearings.
unorthodox crank gets you 1-2hp at most... you would be better off just getting a lightweight flywheel... and then step up to the crank if you were looking to get every little bit you could. But i've heard "skepticism" about it possibly damaging your engine....
from what i've read our engine is internally balanced so unorthodox crank pulley shouldn't cause an issue.. but then again.. I'm not 100% sure.. so I wouldn't take the chance.
I'm with Linesuper. The tiny preformance increase is nice.. but i want it more for the look as well. With the stock box removed.. it just looks.. bleh... and the Ricks one come with an idle and tensioner one.
I've been reading that EMC2 did the orignals and Rick became the sponsor and sold them after EMC2 did 2 runs of about 20-30 total I believe. Again I remember him posting that the shop that did them had the cad file stored to produce more when everyone wanted more sets from him, but Rick took over after that. I mean if they aren't going to sell them it would be nice to know the shop that did them to possibly grab them directly or maybe get that file to throw on a cnc machine to have more produced. Just seems like a loss to just stop selling a nice product for the s2k.
Also if that was the case then we could have some made in 7075 and hard anodized instead of the 6061. Sure price would be around 150 more or so but would be nice as an option and no more worries about the wear rate...

Guys, let me start with 7075 is too soft. We had a few sets made and they started to ware after a few 100 miles. So you can forget 7075.
We cut them from 6061 and hard anodized them. They have been working well. The only reason we stopped production on these is the investment required to get these to a reasonable price point verses the sales rate.
Even seling them at 275, sales were slow as a stocked item. As a group buy they sold well. But once that void was filled, there was not enough demand to keep them going.
I have atleast 5 sets in a box and the anodizer did a poor job on (dull red). So if anyone wants a set, I will press the bearing in and sell them.
If anyone wants to fund a run, I will be happy to have them cut and ship them to you.

I'd be definitely interested. How much would it be to do a run again on them as well?
Also how is 7075-T6 softer than 6061? I know its rated harder on the Brinell scale and has a higher tensile and yeild strength as well. By the Brinell scale alone it should supass the wear and life expectancy of 6061.
