I took off the window tape last night. The car looks great except for the peice where the paint guys missed a section and did not thoroghly paint the entire frame. So now I have this section where the yellow fades to green!! My question - is Honda responsible to pay for this or do I just have to pay for it to be painted?

 

As I recall the last person with a similar problem had to fund the repainting. You can always lean on the dealership looking for a goodwill fix but don't hold your breath.

 

I think it would be your expense, since Honda never intended for the tape to be removed.

I agree that you'll probably have to pay for it. However, if you want to ask your dealer to pay for it, you might point out that the window frame is yellow in the picture of a yellow MY2001 S2000 hanging in the dealer's showroom. It is the poster showing ALL the MY2001 Hondas.

I got lucky. The dealer has no other S2Ks to reference, and as Barry said the poster is yellow so they are going to pay.
