Default Unusual Noise

My S2k produce some noise when left in neutral gear. The noise go away whenever I depress the clutch. Also, the noise level increase with the engine RPM.

Anyone have similar experience?

SHE'S GONNA BLOW!!!!

Come on fellas. It's the sound of your transmission spinning around.

It's the clutch throw-out bearing. Although at first I didn't hink it was supposed to make ANY noise, I'm sure its natural. My RX-7's bearing went out and it was very loud when the transmission was cold. No biggie on my s2000 (very faint noise)

If it's loud enough to where you don't have to listen to it, however, it might need to be replaced.

definately the throw out bearing... but unless the noise is loud, don't worry about it, they make a little bit of noise even when they're new, should be very faint though.

+1

Mine was dead silent for about 2000 miles after the clutch was done... Starting to come back... No death rattle though! Woot!
