whatever USD amout Trent received, he should have returned...regardless of exchange rate. The seller shouldn't be able to make any money during a refund if the exchange rate varies....as for the buyer, that's the risk you take with international orders.
Hmm, let me get this right. This seller takes the money and sits on it for 3 months before he has to return it and it is the buyers fault?

Come on, if the seller whould have successfully ship these in the first place, then we whould have be reading this thread. But since he never successfully ship them, and he basicly sat on them for 3 month (I know that is not exactly what happened, but technically it is the net result) and the exchange rate changed and now he refund. I know as the buyer getting my money back, that I would want every dime back that I paid for the product. I can understand not getting a shipping/delivery fee back (wire transfer fee).

The bottom line here is that Trent screwed up and need to make Trup whole. If it costs Trent alittle money to learn a leason, then so be it. There have been several posts that stated "Trent does not need Money" and that was the reason given for not repling to Trip in the first place.

QUOTE (Cubs2k @ Jan 29 2005, 05:27 PM)
Every bank I've worked for deducts the wire fees SEPARATE from the funds to be wired....ie: I send 1300 USD......My account is deducted 1300 for the funds wired THEN the wire fee (usually 20-45 for international outgoing wires) is deducted.
We do this all the time. Because the target bank takes a fee too, and that fee is in the target currency and it is a percentage. it is hard to get it right the first time. We have never done it right the first time with a new vendor. It is always the target banks fee that makes the differance.

Stratocaster, I totally agree with what you're saying. This is an exceptional case that took place over an extended period of time, therefore the effects of exchange rate are multiplied.

My statement was general in nature, and AS A MINIMUM, trent should have returned the equivelent USD that he recieved months before. Obviously in this case, I would expect trip to receive FULL COMPENSATION.

I seriously doubt he has any new updates as he only posted a photo of the transaction yesterday. Today is Sunday. I'll go out on a limb and say he is not satisfied.

go figure huh?? I'll try to call him tomorrow

John - why close the thread anyway?? even if Trip gets a FULL refund - this thread should remain open just in case others wish to bring it back - (let's assume trent tried to sell something again)

Since it looks like he only wants to speak to you (Bass) can you please forward a msg to him> I want a full payment of Lm143 Maltese liri.
This will cover the missing payment, the 1st and 2nd bank charges I had/have to pay from my end and currency change. I think its only fair after all this hassle and 3 months of waiting.

Thanks for all the time and help putting to this matter
