Update on S2 attack
Well I posted previously that my car's top was cut open, seats cut up b/c they couldn't be stolen due to seat locks, and shift knob and floor mats stolen.
I had the car repaired and she looks AMAZING. All-new top with crystal-clear plastic window (you'd swear it was glass), shiny shift knob, awesome floor mats... and the seats. OMG. My insurance company insisted the repair place install entirely new leathers for the entire seats, not just replace the inserts that were cut up. The "thieves" only cut the perforated back and seat areas and not the bolsters, etc. So the leather is soooooo soft and supple and incredible. Looks exactly like the old ones but brand new. It honest to god looks like a new car, and the new leather smell is intoxicating. No one believes me when I say it's an '01.
All I can say is, "Thank you wannabe S2k seat thieves b/c my $500 deductible got me sick new seat leather and an awesome new top!"
Also incidentally b/c of this occurrence I've decided to move to a quieter, safer area and in doing so realized I can afford to buy a condo rather than rent an apartment any longer, so Thank you also for prompting me to move somewhere much better suited for a great girl with a great car.
