What particularly is going to be gained from continually pouring money into your car just to stay ahead of him? Couldn't you get the same pleasure by simply outrunning him in the 100 yard dash? It'd be a lot cheaper.

Repeat after me... "The S is not a drag car".
If you want to be fastest in a straight line then buy a freaking motorcycle. $6K will buy you a used bike that you can kill yourself on faster than you can imagine.
If you want a pure roadster that's meant to be enjoyed in the twisties then keep the S.
Arrggghhhhh! (and yes, I forgot my cranky pills this morning).
